Scotland 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Santorini Black

I ran mine down to 0 and we got another 7 or 8 miles, towing the van, before it started to splutter and cough.

Topped up from can about 4 litres and then got 102 litres in at the pump 5 miles later.

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey

I never fill my tank - 100 litres of fuel weighs quite a bit and you don't need to be lugging that extra weight about. Got that little tip from the AA. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

I used to think like that before I got into Land Rovers. But big powerful engines in a heavy car means it makes little difference to the economy.

The extra half a tank is probably the same weight as a small passenger, and I'd rather do 0.2mpg less than have to stop and queue for fuel twice as often. Thumbs Up
2 free miles (40 pence) in a tank of 600, or half as many visits out in the cold putting fuel in... The latter for me please.
