United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE Supercharged Java Black

No idea how hard it is to convert to LHD, but eBay seems to be full of imported Portuguese LHD 2 doors, would one of those work?

Shame Dixy, I guess 'do what you like' doesn't really mean that!

Really don't want my friend to break it - any updates BigBoy, or anyone else interested?

I've booked it in for an MOT next Saturday to find out what it needs to get her roadworthy.

Sorry but I don't know how to rotate the images?

I took her for an MOT yesterday to find out what's needed:

The good news is that the engine passed the emissions and it looks like's had two new heads fitted recently.

The not so good news was that she needs more welding than I can do, (as an accountant), so she is going to have to go.

The failure certificate is attached, showing what's needed and I still think she's too good to break, so would rather see her restored as she is complete being one of the last no frills classics, without air conditioning and originally on springs. The running gear, chassis and most of the panels are ok, it's the floorpan and body mounts that need most of the work.

So if anyone on here wants to make an offer for about a grand they can have her, otherwise she will have to be broken.[img]

Rather a lot to do in time for the free retest within the week !
I do hope someone saves this potentially lovely RR.

That's a shame. Lots of it is stock stuff, new discs and pads, shocks and a bit of brake pipe. The rust is the issue.
To do it properly for that lot you're looking at a lot of money if you can't DIY. This is the problem now with classic rr - I know from personal experince!
Sadly unless someone wants a project its curtains.
What's the bonnet like? I need a rust free covered hinge one as mine is a bit rusty.

The bonnet is surprisingly good, just a small crease on the offside front. If we decide to break it I will let you know.

I think it rusted from the bottom up due to sitting outside for so long, which is why it looks too good to break and I would rather someone took it complete as a project.

I'd rather they did too, they are getting rather scarce.
That's always the problem with old rangies. From the outside they don't look too bad, no gaping holes to be seen just the traces of rust around the edges. The problem is that everything you can't see has turned to dust!
If it ends up in bits, which would be shame, then drop me a line.

Looks like she's going to be broken after all, so if anyone on here wants any bits please let me know and you can come and take them off the car, which is located near M25 / M1 junction.

Stan, I hope this is ok, if not please amend or delete. Thumbs Up

Such a shame to see another one broken but at least it will keep others going. I'm sorted on the bits I need from an earlier post but thanks for letting the forum have first dibs. Thumbs Up You should still get some good money for bits. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus
