L405 SDV8 4.4 2013.

Double bong'd this morning so methinks the battery ( well it is fatty after all and the DNA still runs)

However, as the main battery is buried under the air susp compressor (under the spare wheel deep in the wheel well) getting to it to get it out to give it a charge ( as the OM says don't charge whilst connected) wasn't a real option ( mindful I could invalidate the warranty too).

Called LR assistance and an hour later the tech arrived and plugged in his diagnostic tool and said its the OSF height sensor.

Great methinks another 1hour to drop off at the MD's, wait and take home or leave overnight on my day off

Not at all..., the tech rang around a few MD's locally and arranged to go collect a new height sensor and he came back and fitted it on the drive...wasnt expecting that

LR Assist techs are very good, probably because they do more bloody repairs than the main dealers do. I'm in the same boat, changed from L322 to L405 and for all the world I wish I hadn't

And there's me thinking 405 405...... I'll stick with mine for now.
