Do tdv8 engines last long?
Would u buy a tdv8 that had complete engine change?

Depends who did the work and how well documented it is.

Was it replaced with a brand new engine or a used one from a write-off etc.....

Couldn't be any worse than the ones at Solihull who nail them together in the 1st place Pete.

As for a car that's had an engine change, yep, I would as long as I knew who had done the engine change and where the replacement came from.

Back street garage and a breakers yard engine. No way.

Reputable garage and recon or crated engine. Sure.

Do they last long? Some do, some don't. Having one which lasts a long time seems to depend on a good maintenance regime. Plenty of oil changes with good oil, EGR maintenance, Turbo maintenance. There's no cambelt to worry about. As long as the engine doesn't lunch on its own EGRs or turbos they seem to be fairly bulletproof. I also believe lack of use is the kiss of death. These engines like to work.

Only if it was a LR warranty replacement done at the dealer, with a new LR supplied engine. Thumbs Up There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

It was a brandnew engine with papers.
Reason to buy is that price is nice.

Oh and to answer how long they last it depends how hard you drive them, drive them hard, use the full rev range and they will last forever, drive it like Miss Daisy and it will clog up and destroy the turbo's which the engine will eat...... Pete
