Winter dirt

Just been on a long journey to see some family
Cant belive how much dirt the range has collected off the salty dirty roads, Cant even read the rear number plate Twisted Evil

The whole car is covered!! I normally keep it clean all the time, But does look good dirty.

Just Might leave it filthy for a few more days.

Which raises the question Dirty or clean Question

When I had mine, I always left a bit of dirt, as then I wouldn't get stick for owning one. And seeing as I live in a house at the end of dirt track, I usually wore wellys, so It all worked out. Until I sold it...

But shiny Range Rovers are always nice Thumbs Up

IF there is frost then leave it dirty.. clean the lights and numberplate. Good was once the frost and icey conditions bog off. That was less likely to get frozen seals / door handles. Thumbs Up

I LOVE clean cars but you have to be practical in winter conditions , especially if you don't have the comfort of a garage. 2010 Disco XS TDV6, 2009 Freelander 2 GS

I managed to wash mine yesterday during the thaw, then into the garage to dry it off.

Freezing hard all day here and lots of black ice, saw a few near accidents today

We've had a couple of mild days here, but I was working on Friday & yesterday, and it rained today so didn't get a chance to clean mine. Granted it will only be a quick jet wash to blast the under side and the wheel arches of all the salt and a quick going over the bodywork to make it look presentable. I know as soon as I drive anywhere, it'll be filthy again. 2006 Mercedes CLS

this weekend i used the 'pro-shine' stuff you get from the shopping channels and the amount of dirt that came of was phenomenal ..didnt want to risk using water just in case it froze in my door lock, which since the removal and lubrication has worked faultlessly... ... - .- -.

the way I see it, it does more damage to the pain (swirls etc) continuously washing every week or two mid winter, so I just leave it

if it gets so dirty im getting mucky getting in/out then its time to clean it Smile cheers

Must be sensible to keep the Salt/Sh*t off the car during damp winter (rusting) conditions...

And if's a hand car wash they'll rub some of the dirt right into your paint. Rolling Eyes

Why?
Because they don't give a monkeys about some posh tit with a Range Rover.
