IIdTool update problems

Morning all trying to update my IIdtool but having problems when I go into the updater it comes back with firmware cant be recognised - any ideas??

delete everything off the pc/laptop , reboot and try again...

Thanks for moving this Stan I never get it right Very Happy yep have tried that to no avail will wait for the Gap boys to come along
On another note how do you find the Westie compared to your SC was looking at a couple the other day

Yes there is that but hey ho I am off to france again later in the week and the sc is on 140k so may be time to change

in that case, 130kph/80mph resulting in 33mpg @1500rpm might persuade you.. Wink

Try a different USB cable, I had to try 5 before I found one that worked. It now lives with my IIDTool in the car! .

Just tried 6 cables all I have here and still no joy it is seeing it as when I try unplugged it says so but when plugged up it says it doesn't recognise the firm ware
Ah well

I don't think the IID is plug and play. Uninstall the IID software on the computer and, after a restart, install it again from their website so you know you have the latest version.

Still not working? Plug something else in to the SAME cable on the SAME USB port. If that thing works, then your port and cable are good. At that point, if it still doesn't work, contact GAP. They are amazing at getting back promptly and have been a good help in the past. Good luck.
