leather covered A pillars on both sides knocks\squeaks

Hi,

I’ve got a 2010 5.0 SC with full leather. The bottom of the leather covered A pillars on both sides knocks\squeaks all the time (this never happen on my old 4.2 SC that had cloth A pillars). I’ve tried a few different leather\rubber sprays to stop it but no joy. Any suggestions, are there fixings that could be replaced which could be causing the problem?
Know if sounds trivial but very annoying in an otherwise silent car with only 44K on the clock.
Thanks,

Is this noise high or low?,

Are you sure its not your sun visors, My sun visors make a noise at times which is very noisy / squeaky.. I hear the rear one do it also occasionally (full leather ab roof lining)

If you move then you should be able to tell if it is the problem, after moving they can go quite for some time also

Defo the A pillars, at the bottom where they meet the dash.

has it had a new screen?

the pillar covers are held on by some clips and a screw behind the airbag tag. the bottom needs to be seated correctly when they are fitted, if a windscreen fitter has had them off then there is a possibility they have been put back incorrectly. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I have a similar 2010 5.0 SC and no squeaks or rattles at all.

That's interesting, Do you know if they have to remove these a pillar trims to replace the screen?, I have noticed the bottom of mine where it meets the dash is sorta squashed and distorted a bit... Often wonder how that could have happened however my car was fitted with a new screen not long before i brought it so i guess that's why

Nothing worse than some shoddy incompetent windscreen installer doing things like this to such a beautiful car
