Dead fuel gauge

Hi guys,

Just bought my first L322 td6 2004 RR , one of the first problems i have is the fuel gauge is pointing to below empty all the time.
But the weird thing it the yellow fuel light works and the range on the trip computer .
So i can assume the sender in the tank is working.
Thanks in advance.
Paul

I am lead to believe there are 2 fuel senders and the average the fuel level between them, I noticed that mine when completely full that thee Needle does not sit right up at the full mark.

Mine suffered a whole different problem - if I had to restart the car with tank about 1/4 full, the gauge would sometimes be dead but after driving a while it would come back to life. Could this just be a bad spot on one sensor? Taking a rest from Land Rovers for a bit.......

Just done the cluster check sequence , no movement from the needle . All the other needles and gauges work including the low fuel light.

So is it a repairable part or a whole new instrument binnacle ?
