Thanks L322 - now a suspension fault.

I picked the L322 up from getting a new fuel pump. On the way home it was pulling to the left, but I didn't have time to check anything. I left it for a few days while I was away, on return it seemed a little low on the left. Started up, it levelled itself a little but the ABS or stability control triggered at the bottom of the drive (it's a slight slope down). Then an Air Suspension Inactive. Read the codes, "articulation validity fault". Cleared it, but still a lean to the left. If I put it in off-road it rises fine and seems level, drop to normal and it's level with no pulling. If it drops to motorway mode it's leaning again.

I haven't looked any further yet, but I'm suspecting a height sensor.

However - when they did the fuel pump change they "cleared the codes" with TestBook. Is it possible they accidentally messed with the height calibration? Or is it just a total coincidence?

The right one went last year! It was only a matter of time before the left came out in sympathy. I'm going to do it myself this time, can't afford to pay someone... I've ordered new lower bolts since with my luck I'll shear them off or they'll be so seized I'll have to grind them. £4 for a bolt!!

Well, that could have been worse. 1.5 hours start to finish. For anyone doing this:

Start with the PlusGas on the bolts early. Give it a few blasts over a couple of hours.
You'll need a drift to help move the two 22mm bolts.
Two trolley jacks helps...
You'll need someone else to help reattach the top bolts while you break your back lifting the strut into place.
Strut is heavy. My back hurts.
Torque on the two 22mm bolts is crap-loads. My torque wrench didn't go high enough, so I did it to the max value then used a breaker bar gently.
Oh yes, to start those nuts coming off I used a breaker bar and my jack handle before they moved.
The knucke may have seized onto the strut. Use an old screwdriver and a hammer to open the "jaws" of the strut to break the bond. I say an old screwdriver because I just broke a good one.
