Rear door removal

Anyone changed a rear door complete I've been asked to do one and wondering how difficult, I've done handles and locks in the past but not the wire loom or window trim and glass quarter light etc, thanks _____________________________________________________

Replacing a whole door is very easy, and can be done in about 10 minutes. 3 bolts on top hinge and bottom hinge, 2 bolts on check strap and the door wiring has a plug behind the rubber. You'll need torx for the bolts (male for hinge bolts and female for check strap, I think). Current:

I'm off to wales to get the door with him tomorrow two top and two bottom 16mm and the strap plus the small bolt on electric join and it's off 😉 will change his door card as it's an AB and prob the speakers as not sure how good the others are the only thing he has to get done is the quarter light and window tinted as it's a pita to the change the glass. _____________________________________________________

The main window and winder assembly is relatively easy to change, the quarter light is somewhat harder as its is bonded in and I think you'd need to replace the trim pieces as they can get easily damaged when removed. A lot of the trim is secured with small screws that are hidden behind the seals etc at the top of the window. Current:

took a couple of hours changed the lot except the glass, the loom is different on the se as its got two more plugs so changed the loom which was easy tbh changed it at the spares place in Wales in his yard luckily the rain kept off, he's got thousands of parts for all range rovers 72 to 2012 and so many cars unbroken he's got the biggest snap on tool chest ive ever seen must be six foot high and 10 ft long, i took a few old bits and had a deal at end and paid just £20 , got back mopped it and mates chuffed so now its 99% spot on for peanuts as it was his fault reversing an open door on a post Thumbs Up _____________________________________________________
