Seems to be a clever solution for jump starting compared to battery based units.

i brought this 3 years ago and have charged it twice and used it many times on friends cars and still starts a flat car even the RR without a battery on it 'mine' once to test it

The battery jump starters have been around for a while. But my post was about the new batteryless ones using capacitors to give a short burst of power from a low car battery.

Such a simple set up with loads of potential. I like the hand crank option, perfect as a last resort for boating or expeditions.
