Nextbase 412 comes top of the reviews. Halfords were selling them for c.£85 recently. Or you can upgrade to 512. |

A bit like cameras in general - you can pick up a cheap one, or spend a bit more and get a good one or spend a lot more and get a better one still....

I'd suggest a dual channel unit that can record the rear view, too. Ron B. VK2OTC

Is there an efficient way of hard wiring into the dash without running the standard cable from the cigarette lighter? |

To get USB power to the top of the screen I wired up a double 5v inverter, the unit sits in the overhead console. see https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Inverter-power...SwiBJZ5Xfd

Looks like its probably been superseded. I just checked and I paid A$60.69 shipped on special last March. Be careful where you buy as there are now clones of the clones. I got mine direct from DBpower via aliexpress, here is a link to their store https://dbpower.aliexpress.com/store/23937...4e8104WVSg You might have to buy a windscreen sucker but all the go pro type mounts are interchangeable 2007 TDV8 VSE
