Reverse camera fault? (not the usual one)

Hi All

still going through everything on my new vehicle...
One thing that is annoying me at the moment is the rear view camera, which is broken at the moment so I get a black screen but thats another story and one for me to try and fix later....
The issue is it stays on when I go back to Drive or park and I'l pretty certain the other day that the reverse sensors continued to beep along with the black reverse screen even when I was back in park with the handbrake on... (reversed into a space, stopped on the beep, into park and handbrake on - still kept beeping...)
I have to use the arrow button on the screen to get out of the black reverse screen - anyone had this?

Whats perhaps also odd is my ccf was set as no cameras, set that to rear today and no difference.
its a 2007 btw if it helps.

As I now have the gap iid tool are there any live values/error codes to watch out for that may help figure out why its doing that?

Thanks all
Ben

Mine has the same delay in switching off the reversing camera and beeps. I think the RR brain in my '06MY is a bit slow. After all, it's getting on a bit.

Ok thanks, I'll leave it alone next time I use it and see if it does go back to normal without me pressing anything Smile

Yeah. I think I read somewhere it takes 15 seconds to switch to radio screen, etc. Although it seems longer on mine Confused

I think it does it because if you shunt forwards and backwards several times during parking, the screen just remains on the camera... Saves your screen changing to & from and probably getting stuck!
