Mine has broken 3 times in total, twice on the passenger side and once on the drivers side.

I am working up to doing mine this weekend, but I have found some black plastic tubing to sleeve it.

As per usual I am not so lucky... No broken wires I can see at the top. Before I start chasing around in vain I will get it plugged in |

I soldered mine the 1st time and then replaced them with the factory repair kit which just took a few minutes. There are pics of the kit somewhere in this site. |
