L322 folding mirrors

Can anyone help with this problem? My mirrors both fold in but fold straight back out when I release the switch. I seem to remember some discussions on here previously, but can't find them! Is it some sort of switch ssue in the mirror? The drivers side mirror is a little loose, by that I mean it can move backwards and forwards slightly, like a spring isnt pulling it into place? Any ideas if this can be fixed or is it a case of a new mirror?
Many thanks.

I have the same issue - try flicking the switch really quickly as the mirror is opening or closing
My driver side mirror also flaps about on hard acceleration and motorway journeys which is very dull.

exactly the same issue, and the mirror moving when driving is annoying! I tried flicking the switch, even tried to hold the mirror in the folded position, but that didnt work either! Looks like we both need to wait for someone to pist the way to fix the probelm!!

Looks like it mate - did you flick the switch left and right really quickly as it was moving?
Might take a few attempts to get it right? Keep playing with it - the switch thats is!! Laughing

Depending on the year of your cars the solution to flapping mirrors is as follows,

Just realised that Ive been giving you wrong info - its the button that needs to be pressed quite rapidly at the same time as the mirrors are moving and not the left/right switch. I remember another owner suggesting it a while ago and it worked for me then. TBH I haven't tried it for a while tho.
