Suspension fault warning after jacking/lifting

Hello all, I have just had my 2009 RR in for a recon gearbox at a ZF specialist. As soon as I switched it on upon collection the TFT dash said "Suspension Fault" and an orange triangle. The garage hooked up a reader and cleared the code but the light came back on during the trip home and has been on the last 20 miles and 2 further trips..

I have read about problems after being left dangling on lifts - can the system be reset DIY or does it need dealer software? Coulsd anything have been damaged?

Have contacted the specialist no reply yet unsurprisingly.

You will need to check that all your height sensors are "OK" - right way around and not broken in anyway
Then check that none of your airbags are leaking
Read the codes with a proper FFRR diagnostic tool to see what is causing the problem .

Can they be broken just by lifting?

What are you supposed to do if lifting on a 2 poster, lock in access height?

These guys do plenty of Range Rovers each week, I'd be surprised if they didn't know themselves.

No need to set any particular height when jacking / lifting, but doing so (jacking/lifting) will extend the suspension to its outer limits, and thus the possibility of issues with / putting a strain (to breaking of) the height sensors. .

Hello mate
If you are passing I've got my idd tool although it's vin locked I think I can read and clear faults on other l322's
Might be worth seeing what the fault code is and you never know it may just reset its self
Mines been in the garage a couple of times on a 2 poster without any problems
I am at work today but pretty much free Sunday and Monday
Can somebody confirm that I can read and clear faults cheers Thumbs Up

Thanks all, in a spare moment I got underneath and it was simply that they one had flipped around. Bit disappointed the garage chose to ignore it on their pre-release "test drive" but hey ho sorted simply and free.
