England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver
Those were the days !!!

Many years ago, a friend gave me a copy of Motor Magazine dated June 20 1970.
It has a picture on the front cover of a red 3 door driving along a river. Inside an extensive review of "The New Range Rover, Four Wheel Drive 3500cc V8", with a quoted price of £1998 (including purchase tax).
I remember following one in my car when I was an apprentice and thinking "Thats some car, I want one, and ended up years later buying a 4 door classic in Lincoln Green.

I had a blue 3 door back in 1975, the shiny seats were fun when cornering Smile

Dr Rob,
Very very nice Thumbs Up , it does look well loved.
Is it on coils or air suspension?. The rear chassis on mine had rot in the rear cross member so I cut it out and welded a new one in place plus 2 sets of outer sills. In fact "Gilbert" taught me how to Mig weld correctly.

Lol, mine had the sand coloured velour covering with worn shiny patches, rear seat was a bench type without seatbelts much to mums annoyance.

Last of the hard dash so coils (2” lift) with factory fit 200tdi engine. No air con or electric seats. Basic spec.
Lots of rot cut out. Steel floor replaced with early aluminium one. Inner wings and sills all replaced etc

To put things into perspective though in 1970 the average cost of a house in the UK was around the £4250 mark....

^ How interesting....
.....as of May 2019 the average house price in the UK is £229,431 so a new FFRR is proportionately about the same price as it was originally, just under half of a new house...... Whistle 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
