[Sold] 2012 Range Rover 4.4 TDV8 VOGUE SE 77k, £13750

Thanks for reading my advert - long time lurker who found this forum invaluable when looking for this "fatty".

Only for sale due to change of role resulting in more travel and I don't want to put 25k miles/yr onto this car.

Full service history, three previous owners with 77,600 miles, I’ve just had it serviced this week (24th Oct) which was early as I wanted to do it before selling the car and got a new MOT which runs to 18th Nov 2020 with no advisories, full service history listed below (effectively it’s been serviced four times in the last two years – winner!)

I'm asking £13,750ono to the forum but have listed it on ebay - however I'm not allowed post a link to that advert so all the useful information is below.

Known issues like the oil cooler and brake hose recall have all been replaced with the redesigned parts and I have paperwork for such works as well as various receipts, old MOTs etc to go with the fully stamped service book.

In addition I recently had a new “official Landrover” windscreen fitted which is of course fully heated and offers a crystal clear view!

All tyres are matching Pirelli Scorpions Zeros and I replaced both front tyres about 2k miles ago in March 2019 but in fact got a puncture in one of those about three weeks ago and knowing I was selling the car decided not to chance a repair (it was a bit close to the edge) so I replaced it again (I have all the receipts).

As a result both fronts measured 6.4mm at the service/MOT and the rears are about 3.5-4mm still.

Additional features include the remote climate control which can be set on a timer or activated remotely via a fob from the heat of your kitchen whilst eating your breakfast (which is my favourite thing about this car!)

Of course I have both key fobs for the car itself and also the fob for the remote climate system.

Also based on recommendations from this forum I have fitted a BOVEE 1000 unit which links to the existing Harman Kardon system to enable wireless connection of your phone for streaming music etc – works perfectly with Spotify etc and volume adjustments/track skipping etc can all be done via the steering wheel controls.

The interior is immaculate – I chose the black interior to avoid the “blue wash” effect of jeans on the Ivory option and its beautifully preserved. A previous owner had the dash trim and front door trims carbon wrapped which surprisingly I really like – top job which can’t have been cheap but adds something to the already lovely cabin.

Obviously being a 2012 car it does have a few light marks etc on the outside but the only ones I wanted to point out (and which are shown in ebay pics) is a scratch in the plastic trim at the bottom of the rear door and also a nasty scuff in the front bumper caused by some clown who thought the car was 10cm shorter than it clearly is – anyway both parts are plastic so no risk of corrosion so I never bothered about it but wanted to draw your attention to it.

Any questions or queries please don't hesitate to contact me, thanks, Richard

Thanks Greg - you're spot on, it's a MY2012 and it was a Jan 2012 registration.

To be fair, probably about £1k light, but for a quick sale and well above part-ex, it's clearly worked!!

Also explains why so many stick around on Autotrader with over optimistic private sellers trying to get dealer prices and quite a few dealers are well over the top as well. This looked to be a very good honest car, keenly priced and it sold straight away. Well done that man.

By all means if you're selling you can price at the top (you can always come down), but some of the prices really are in comedy land. I'm seeing 2011 Vogue SE's with 70k being priced as private sales at nearly £17k-£19k. No way, max £15k and it would need to be spotless for that, the part-ex would make you weep. Drives:
