Have a look at the many posts from RRPhil, his knowledge of these boxes seems second to none. Ignoring his impartial (unlike the suppliers) advice is not wise, however it’s your car,your choice and your money. |

I used non-oem but correct spec oil, it sorted my shift issues and surging, gearbox is now very smooth and works as it should, has done for over 10k miles.

Thank you for a useful real life reply, think too many peeps are hung up on paying extra for brand names. Not planning to service and forget, as with you I will invest in some "proper" stuff before I consider gearbox as a job done. |
