Oil-pressure-sensor passes oil-pan?

Hello,

have you heard of or can you confirm that

a cable for an oil-pressure-sensor goes through the oil-pan?

This "design" would cause problems if this cable is only a little "damaged" over the years I
because this would lead to "short“
and in the long run oil could -- via capillary force -- rising up the cable and reach the control unit?

This question is related to the error message that I see when I start a fault-search with the IID-tool (the is no warning symbol or warning message on the Instrument Cluster)

Have a nice weekend

Love that error code so easy to understand the problem.

No idea about the wire but that error sounds like an air leak to me! Question 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

The oil pressure sensor is no where near the sump according to the Workshop Manual.

Thank you for your quick response.
I've made an LR-appointment for a "smoke test" end of next week to look for an air leak
