On my D3 if you cut the wires at the brake pad warning sensor and join the two ends together, it stops the pad sensor warning light. The pad wear sensors are cheap to replace.

According to the L322 wiring diagrams in the Wiki, 2 wires connect to the instrument pack in connector C0234 at pins 4 (yellow) and 20 (yellow with brown stripe). The 2nd wire from each connector are linked to provide the path. Joining pins 4 and 20 would short the path to indicate that both pad wear sensors are intact. |
