Hi. Recently a member from the U S posted that he had successfully retro fitted adaptive cruise to the l405. Does anyone know if there is a uk based company or independent engineer who does the conversion.

725browning – that was me. The install is relatively straightforward so I suspect any independent mechanic would be able to do it for you.

Jase71 – yes, was pricey but keep in mind the parts I sourced were brand new, OEM. Others have had luck finding the parts much cheaper on ebay. 2021 P525 | Eiger Gray

Did this on my fatty today, FPLA-9G768-AC radar from ebay £260 and new steering wheel control and bolts from Rob at Duckworths £53 ,took 2 hours to fit the new steering wheel control and radar behind the front bumper and update the CCF files and then took it for a drive and after about 8 miles it was configered and its excellent.
I now have accident prevention, queue assist and adaptive cruise and is easily the best retro fit i have done yet.

Its a lot easier on the pre-2017 models as generally the wiring is already there and the CCF is editable with an IIDTool.
2017 onwards the wiring is quite often not there if a feature is not fitted and then editing the CCF is more problematic, requiring a separate editor and something like the JLR Pathfinder software to download the updated CCF. I found this when I added timed climate to mine (see post in the wiki)
