Fabulous Tool and so simple

Hi All

After replacing all wheels over the weekend have just seen the great bit of kit from Powerfuluk. Would have been a god send.

A bit after the horse has bolted, but definitely going in the glovebox.

My Audi comes with one in the boot tools, admittedly a plastic one but it works.... .

Totally agree. Has anyone heard of the 2 leg method? Sit on your arse and put a leg either side of the wheel and then use a long pry bar to lever it up into place. Takes seconds. Make sure you have axle stands etc etc. Safety first Thumbs Up Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

left foot on lower left of tyre, left hand on top of tyre and a tyre lever on bottom right of tyre...jiggle a bit and it goes on.. ... - .- -.

Thank you for the great advice, Brilliant methods for those able bodied, for those not so fortunate and wish to retain an element of independence and dignity it can be very helpful.

It’s why I have RAC membership for wheel changing when out and about. At home I just use a spade under the wheel. Geoff

My Mercedes SL , E Class and C class have them as standard in the cars tool kit . In the 80's my W123 Mercedes had it as standard as well - all in aluminium .

I reckon thats a job for the new Mistress to see if she will stay the course! One of those Russian ones we get around Norfolk these days, picks the car up with one hand, and puts the wheel on with the other.

I’ve used them (two guides, one shorter than the other) that I bought years ago on a Disco3 forum group buy. I find them very useful.
