Restricted performance

Would appreciate any help that can point me in the right direction.L322 5.0 supercharged has thrown a P0458 fault code. This apparently is the purge valve. Having recently moved to the Isle of Wight none of the Land Rover
mechanics here have come across this before. If anyone can help it will save me a trip back to the mainland.
Thanks. Dave.

Hi Alex, have to be honest it was a while ago. What I do remember is when I picked car up it threw the code again within 1/2 a mile. Went back and Fitter changed a 15 amp fuse in the engine bay. If I remember correctly it was 5th from the left when facing engine. I had to do it one more time a week or so later and not had it show again.
Dave.

5th from left (left being top of pic nearest large red cable) is a 30 amp. Do the pics help the memory Smile
Grabbed some pics before it started to rain, have another dig around tomorrow.

Thanks Dave

Alex

Hi Alex, only thing I have is written on piece of paper
Just looked and says 5th fuse 15amp. Definitely a 15 amp
Just been and looked and 5th on left from right hand side.
Won't hurt to swap a new one it might work
Best of luck.
Dave

I owe you an internet beer, thanks Dave. The F5 fuse had blown, still had the restricted performance message on first startup but second startup a few hours later all warning lights were gone Smile
I tried searching for what the fuse actually protects, but no luck so far.
I actually got someone to scan for codes last night with non LR tool, P0458 (fuel evaporation regeneration valve -short to ground plus P0691 & P0481 cooling blower codes).
Also ordered a new fuel cap as the rubber o-ring/gasket in mine looks way past it’s sell by date.
Cheers, Alex 2010 Supercharged

yes I believe that codes P0458 P0489 and P0695 are all related to the F5 fuse in the engine bay fuse panel Smile
