Electronic Air Suspension Issues - Cold

Cold really isn't kind to my fullfat...
I'm having issues with the suspension now:
While cold out side, -5 degress, and driving just after taking off, the front height sensors suddenly decide to report that the front wheels are on full extension.
This causes the rears to want to drop to the bump stops.. (I have a bad compressor, I'll come to that later..)
My daughter managed to take a photo of the 4x4 info panel when it's at fault.

Deleting the error code with GAP tool sorts the issue out, for a little while, then it's back to normal.
After driving for ten-ish minutes the issue goes away.. (!)
Any suggestions?

I'm thinking faulty sensors (why do they sort themselves out after a while though.?)
Or maybe connectors? (water ingress, whatever..)
Or is it an issue with the control module? Can I flash this with the GAP-tool?

Issue number two..

Having the car sat for a few days, it drops to the bump stops. Now I've read that quite a few fullfat owners have this issue now, but mine has a twist:
It won't raise up again for quite a while.
I've pulled live values from the suspension menu in the GAP-tool, and it shows normal (I guess?) pressure values in the reservoir, compressor temperature indicates that's not running, but even while driving for 10 kms it stays reaaaaally low.
Then, all of a sudden I can see reservoir and corner valves open, reservoir pressure dropping, compressor coming on (I'm guessing from airflow to the suspension bags) and the height sensors showing the car raise back to normal.

As mentioned, I already know I have a bad compressor, but that shouldn't prevent the valves from opening (either from not getting the signal, or just plain old stuck).
