Dosing pump FBH SDV8 info required

Morning, I have a non operational FBH on my 2015 4.4SDV8 fault code read on iid tool is : B1D25-13 (C2) Dosing Pump circuit - General electrical failure - circuit open

The fault wont clear until the ambient is over 8C ( not called for then) but i do get a permenant fault B1406-88 (2F) Fuel Fired booster heater - Bus signal / message failure - bus is off

Im assuming because the dosing pump is open circuit the FBH has not compleated its process so locks out / knows the pump is faulty but until initialiastion the dosing pump dose'nt flag the fault as its not requested?

I have done a serach but nothing comes up on the L405 section, loads on L322, does anyone know where the dosing pump is located, how is it acessed and removed, with the L322 its not a easy task so knowing LR i would suspect they have built the car around it on the in coming model ?

Any advice relating to the L405 4.4 FBH would be great, L322 or others is not required.. Smile TIA

Regards

Yeah thanks for that, but i don't need to know how it works, i have three LR's with FBH, i have the above mentioned fault code for the dosing pump on a L405 2015 and wanted to know if anyone has replaced their one and if so where is it, how did they do it, any adaptives to be done etc etc... but thanks anyway.

I suspect t will be hid up over the tank, if i follow the fuel line i will find it, you know how it is, spend two hours dismantling the car and its under a cover in the front wheel arch, thought i would ask before creating loads of work and breaking plastic clips off left right and center looking for something in a place for the L322 and LR actually thought about it and put it in a place more accessible on the L405 SDV8 2015

Its in the WSM under
412-02
AUXILIARY CLIMATE CONTROL
The FFBH fuel pump is installed in a rubber mounting attached to a
crossmember under the rear floor, above the fuel tank. The pump is a self
priming, solenoid operated plunger pump. The control module in the FFBH
outputs a PWM (pulse width modulation) signal to control the operation of
the pump. When the pump is de-energized, it provides a positive shut-off of
the fuel supply to the FFBH.

I have the same fault codes. Was the pump the fix? I don't really need it as I'm in the northeast of the USA and it doesn't really get cold but I just like things to work.

Thanks

Yes, simply unhook the rear passenger seat base on the UK driver side so 45 degree rear from your driver seat, pull the cut section of carpet out, pull the rubber grommet out and look inside forward, the pump is there, and the loose wiring harness is suspended close by, clean the terminals and use some electrical contact cleaner on both, push together to join, clear all fault codes, unless the ambient is below 6 degrees Celsius 43F the pump won't kick in, when the fbh runs it will smoke and smell for the first run or two after that you won't know it's running other than the engine coolant temperature will rise faster and the heater will get hot quicker. Hope that helps. Pat SDV8 2015
