United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Loire Blue
4.4 SDV8 EGT Sensor location

Hi,
New member just looking for a little info.

Bought my L405 AB back in June this year. Done just over 10k miles since and love it.

The car has developed an issue which has been diagnosed as EGT Sensor - Bank 1 Sensor 2.

Now looking at the exhaust there seems to be a helluva lot of sensors on there.
Anyone shead any light which one it actually is please?

I did the usual searches but none seemed to answer this actual question.

Thanks,
Paul.

Edit …

EGT or EGR ? And did you get an actual code like PXxxx ?

Sensors aren’t always obvious as to where they should be and the code helps locate it. V8 or else ...

Bank 1, sensor 2 EGT (exhaust gas temperature) is the temperature sensor post-catalyst but pre-DPF.

This one...

Hi... my local Land Rover dealer asked 3 hours to replace this part L022906. I think that is too much. Is it easy to reach this part to replace and wehen DIY, how many time?

Thanks!

Hi,
It is easy to reach however there is a strong possibility that it will be seized in the exhaust and will require heat or drilling to remove (should it shear off)

I think 3hrs is ok time wise allowing for that.

Thanks,
Paul.
