Indeed Pete, and perversely, the occupants of the FF will feel the effects of the collision more than the Toyota as less of the impulse of energy has been absorbed by the car, they will have experienced a bigger speed change (delta v) than the Toyota occupants because of the differences in elasticity of the chassis of each First time FFRR owner

Lol, I had a similar incident years ago when in Luxembourg in my (now greatly missed) 1994 Classic Vogue SE. I was rear ended by a Toyota family car at traffic lights at about 2mph.

Their entire front end and bumper of their car was smashed and I helped pick up all the bits after realising the classic had faired a lot better.

I had a split tow ball cap!

I did not make a claim and wished the rather forlorn German all the best with his repair and onward journey.
