Key signal weaker

Hi,

Ever since my recent service or since a recent windscreen replacement both of the car keys seem far weaker.
They wont lock or unlock unless you are standing next to the car and I regularly get the Smart Key not detected message when starting. I have tried both keys and changed batteries.

Was the recent security updates that others mentioned Land Rover were doing anything to do with this?

Would my recent service at Land Rover
or recent windscreen replacement cause this?

grateful for any suggestions. Its a 2019 AB

I remember reading something about having to use branded batteries as the cheap ones don't have the voltage... worth a check, it might be that easy... Thumbs Up Pete

this pic shows the receiver locations, if one is compromised then it could possibly cause a problem,

My car was parked near an enormous communications mast (south of Newbury) over the weekend and it played havoc with both locking/unlocking and starting. Had to stand close to the car before it would lock/unlock and place the key under the steering column to get the car to start, it then kept displaying 'smart key not in car'. I was sure that it wasn't a key battery issue as I had recently replaced the battery.

Once I'd left that location all was fine again. 2017 SDV8 Autobiography

Thanks, this is helpful. Do you know if this is still applicable to the 2019 modules?
Also where I could find further info such as part numbers.

Car was with land rover for 2 week and the replaced one aerial but it’s no better. They now just say nothing is showing a fault and they aren’t interested and are blaming the immobiliser
Could try another dealer
I think the aerials / transmitters are quite cheap so may just order a few and try to replace them myself.

Signal is defo worse at the front of the car

Oh, I see it's not the Dealers fault even though the problem started after they had the car. Rolling Eyes overfinch modified
