can bus

hi all
2003 l 322 td6
im having problems with the air suspension
renewed the piston seal and have good pressure .
the front wont lift and the high light keeps flashing .
i removed the solenoid valves under the drivers sill and fitted new seals . Put it back on and the rsw solutions reportd faults as valve disconnection etc which was correct ,so i cleared it . Still no front lift ,,so i went on the rsw again ,it connects to the ecu but then reports CAN bus fault . ive checked all the other modules and they connect and report ok .
Any help gratefully received .
ive looked at rave and it shows the can bus wiring and shows and gives the connector locations. It shows the splice numbers but not their locations ? im probably missing something some where.
any help gratefully received
thank you

Can’t help with your fault but IIRC the early fatty had a permanent can bus fault on the air suspension, left behind by BMW.

Do some googling you should find the info out there… Thumbs Up Pete

The light control module ( LCM ) seemed to store and report back fault codes from other ECU’s and holds onto them even when the original fault has been fixed and the original ECU cleared of its fault. What happens then is when the car starts up and does it checks, the LCM will report an EAS fault it’s held onto … causing the EAS to go back into fault mode too. I got into the practice of clearing the LCM of errors anytime I cleared any other ECU.

Good luck. V8 or else ...
