Could be the Steering angle sensor. It tells the ECU which direction/position the steering wheel is in.

Its a BMW part and like a donut around the steering column, google its replacement there are methods to change without too much dismantling. But note it does need recalibrating when changed, needs to be on flat level ground and a diagnostic tool.

But check battery condition first as a low battery or failing one throughs up all sorts of electrical faults.

Also check the ride height sensor's on each wheel in case something is broken

solved

hi all ,
i tried the left to right ,left to right ,left to right on the steering wheel but to no avail .
I then used the rsw software as a last ditch attempt . It didnt work ,so i thought what the hell i tried recoding the steering angle sensor . Followed the instructions etc then switched the engine off then re started and hey presto the lights went out . Accessed the abs module and no faults found . Also the hdc inactive warning went out .
I also managed to access the eas module . It recorded that the air receiver pressure drop when filling ,i cleared that and the eas hold light has gone out . Air suspension lifts on the back but nothing on the front .only way i can get the front to lift is by using the rsw to "lower All" .when the rear drops the front lift i stop the depresuusisation disconnect the rsw and the rear rises.
Trying to solve this one but at least now the abs shows no faults and i can access the eas module even if it still records can bus error
one step ,rather one fault at a time ,slowly slowly sort em out

No idea really, might be a slight leaky bag at the front but unusual if its both side at the same time.
wonder if the ride height sensors have been damaged or failed?
Mine did all sorts of odd things when it has been off all 4 wheels for new tyres, someone said they really don't like all 4 wheels dangling for a period of time. Although lock to lock did sort that out.

Might be worth giving the sensors/arms a clean up and check connections.

With those lights on you have a "hard fault" with the EAS, you need someone with the correct diagnostics to reset it, you can't do it without even if you fix the issue.... Thumbs Up Pete
