2012 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Orkney Grey
Aftermarket LED tail lights

Hi all, it looks like I have a near side brake light out and being as they sealed units they cannot be fixed without a new complete unit ??
Has anyone actually managed a “fix” ?? Failing that are the aftermarket replacements any good?
Are they simply straight swaps or has anyone had issues??

Are both number plate lights working? If the fuse blows it takes out a whole sidelight with it and the number plate lights Gone to a good home: 2011 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE Buckingham Blue with Ivory and clear glass = "Rory"

I got a replacement rear light that is a look alike, it works perfect only difference is that it has the illuminated side lens that is normally just a reflector. I think this is a USA market feature.
It was a third of the price of a genuine part. 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

200 TDi discovery bobtail gone

It's a North American option - it may be possible to remove the bulb/disconnect that part of the unit.

Yes all light work ok other than brake light, funnily enough I swapped the units over from one side to another last week just to check wiring loom on the brake light out side and it worked , swapped back to original sides ant brake light worked again ???
Only other thing I’ve done is fitted LED bulbs in reversing light as other are crap, wonder if they affected anything?? I will put original bulbs back and see

Did it work straight out of the box????
Read that quiet a few have problems and need a wiring modification to work properly

Yes worked straight away with no need for any programming it cost £103 in June 2021… just checked and can’t get one from same supplier now 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23

I’ve just ordered a near side rear light to match the offside with side marker so should have a fully working original 2012 light available if anyone is interested 2012 tdv8 Westminster arrived Jan 19 gone Dec 23
