Is it worth paying

Is it worth paying for a JLR extended warranty?
In my case I would say a big yes, I paid £1734.00 this year I have just claimed for a replacement rear differential, a variable geometry turbocharger actuator with an oil sensor link harness.
The Differential would have cost £3500 approx
The oil sensor link harness over £500
So the would have been over £4000
I also had to call out JLR assist x2 to get me home when the turbos stopped working due to oil leaking onto the wiring which caused a short. 2017 SDV8 4.4 silicon silver AB

Glad you got your monies worth, my big bucks repair this year, rusting ACE pipes, would not have been covered, I suppose as the fatties get older there is less chance items that fail will be covered....

Either way it's a lottery and you have certainly won this time.... Thumbs Up Bow down Pete

I've just had this year's renewal through.

£1740 Annual or 12 months interest-free @ £145pcm rather than previously £173.40 over 10 months.

Whilst I have renewed mine, Haylands makes a good point as this year's parking brake actuator and control arms claims weren't covered. All other claims have been paid though. 2024 P550e Autobiography

If you can get a JLR warranty for under £2k a year, it's a sensible decision. Most claims will run into the thousands.
