How much did you pay for them @Bristol? £50? If that's the case then I'd be inclined to suck it up, that's a huge amount less than genuine pads from a dealer. Of course the moral side of them selling old stock as new doesn't necessarily take into account the price, but I'm sure genuine pads are 4-5x that price from LR?

Ennoch,

I paid £270 for them. Then had to return them at my cost about £10 postage and they refunded me £230 including a restocking fee. So I’m £50 down.

270 quid (A$530)! CRIKEY! I’d complain, too!

(No UK Pound symbol on my iPhone 🙁 )

I just use Borg & Beck or Bosch at about A$116 (GBP60) for the front.

Any chance of sending me the TSB - p38arover at gmail.com? I’ve been thinking of pulling the pads to do a slight chamfer. My brakes occasionally squeal on light braking. Ron B. VK2OTC

Bloody hell, yes, definitely CC return them then! That's not on. For £50 you'd not care, but for a £270 part they definitely need to be owning that issue rather more than they have.

I've just come across this thread after looking for pads for my own RR. Cool JLR Parts UK are a surplus part supplier (on their home page). The about section on the website does state they deal with all excess from Factory and Dealerships across the UK. The images I can find on the website for the part number LR160069 show images of a box showing the older part number: LR114004.. Maybe the OP just had some confusion during a quick click and buy situation.. Confused

Just regarding chargebacks. I work in the industry and if I'm not mistaken you can create a chargeback up to 180 days from purchase. The statistic varies but Credit card companies side with the card holder over 95% of the time. Merchants can have a hard time when the customer is being an ass and taking the mick but in this case the chargeback would be justified and the card company would more than likely side with you.

From the date of the original post you may be still inside the window. I am a massive advocate if a supplier is bad I will give them several chances to right the issue, if they do not then I review their service honestly and if needs be create a chargeback.

I recently had an issue with VidaXL on a €650 purchase. Product was not as described, missing parts and faulty. All of this I could fix myself. So I made a complaint and they offered a full refund if I dismantled the 6m awning and re boxed it and returned it. This was far too much hassle to I bargained with them basically saying I can create a chargeback, you lose 650 and collect the product or you refund me 350, your costs are covered and I have 300 to repair the faulty product.

I hope you get your refund. Current yokes
