Hopefully the link will work, but in the mail yesterday was a 52 year old in Essex who has a 4 year old FF, was quoted £14K for a policy, he wanted to p/x on a new car and JLR who offer their own insurance wouldn't quote him.

I guess it depends where in the country you live, but anywhere in or slightly out of London are hardest hit.
My car didn't have a parcel shelf when i bought it, and found one on Ebay in Southampton, the previous owner was in his mid-late twenties who wrote the car off and was paying £2K for his insurance, renewal was £5K.
