2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver

New project and I have a stiff knob!

Just picked up my new project P38, I have a stiff selector? It moves OK and selects but needs a little effort. Could WD40ing the hell out of it be a solution? Selects and lands n P D R etc.. OK so don't think it is a cable issue, can the cables be lubed?

Pop the end of the cable out of the gearbox arm and see if it's still stiff.

Maybe WD40 will help?, I would just swap out the gear selector.
