[For Sale] Complete Spare/2nd Key- Flip Style

Have you only got one key for your vehicle? Can you risk losing it and not having a key at all?

I can now supply you with a full and complete new spare key, as per the photos below.

This is ready to be coded to your car either by yourself with an appropriate IID type tool, or by your local garage.

These are UK spec 433mhz. They have a blank blade ready to be cut and matched to your single key by your local locksmith (I wouldn’t recommend Timpsons).

Yes you can buy these cheap on eBay (Or very expensive at your Dealer), but these are high quality with a brand new genuine Panasonic VL2330 rechargeable battery in place. The cheaper eBay versions have an incorrect battery.

You’ll see the key shell has a tiny screw ‘allowing’ it to come apart- These were NEVER designed by Land Rover to be taken apart and there should be no need to, the new battery will outlast your vehicle.

I would prefer to supply these bonded shut (as per all the keys I have done and as per your original Land Rover key). This adds strength and waterproofs it. If you would prefer it was not bonded I can do this.

Price is £50 inc 1st Class Signed for and tracked postage.

I can send internationally, please PM for added postage cost (dependent on country)

PM me for details

Can you guarantee this will work on an 06-09 l322? I bought one off eBay for about £40 but my Gap iid was unable to code it. It too had a screw in the side and was sold as 433mhz for 06-09 l322.

Thanks,
Alex

I’m afraid it won’t.

After much research recently it turns out that the L322 in that date range were not codable by external tools.

I’ve read many threads all about it. It’s extremely frustrating. Discovery 4 HSE

Just to add to this, we have been messaging on PMs about this and will308f seems to think a 58 plate car (2008) can have a replacement key programmed, so we might be trying this out to see.

There are two types and I have both.

You’re correct that the RR had the wider blade. Everything else is the same. Discovery 4 HSE

hi
ok so after trying to reprogram a key fob (which failed),i got in touch with gap and believe i have got to the bottom of things .yes you can add more keys using the gap tool -however you have to use a genuine range rover key fob and they say it has to be a new one and not a used one and you will need a working key to start with as well (if you dont have any working keys then it will have to be a dealer job) ....these cheap ones from ebay or other websites wont work .the cheapest place i could find for a genuine key fob was £140 now my local lock smith only charges £120 (had a new from him last year).so unless someone can find a cheap one from somewhere and they get it to work then great and pass the info on .............but i would be happy to be proved other wise Thumbs Up 2008 3.6 tdv8 range rover Vogue Stornoway grey - Parchment Leather

Thanks for the updates, it's what I understood from GAP too.

It's such a shame and quite odd that LR did this to this model and year band. Quite frustrating for all concerned. Discovery 4 HSE

yea i know god knows why they decided to do it ,however i dont like to be beaten so think i may keep trying .my biggest problem i am having is that i cant turn the key in the barrel all the time it only turns every now and again (poss a transponder issue) so i get timed out you only get 30 seconds .... A Social Media Request

Hi everyone,

Thank you to everyone who has used this service and those who have left feedback here on the forum over the years, it is very much appreciated.

I've set up an Instagram account specifically around the key service- I'm not sure what to do with it right now but if you have a spare 30 seconds could you follow it and like a post or two?

Getting any sort of traction on a brand new IG account is very slow and difficult so all help appreciated.

The account is @rruk_lr_key

Many thanks Discovery 4 HSE
