It was a module they sold (i believe it has been withdrawn from the acessories range, not sure...) that was installed behind the glovebox, near the CD player.

This module had 3 types of inputs, RCA, USB and ipod. Both the USB and Ipod replaced the CD player via a switch which was located in the glovebox. This way you could use the ipod/usb just like a cd player including voice commands, randoms etc.. CD1-5 was were the playlists were stored, and CD6 played the entire library.

I have it...

I chose to go this route as I thought the £500 for a dealer fit for the IPOD integration kit a bit steep:

I wrote review here:

Yes it's a bit steep, but I think it works very well, not perfect, but well.
At least you can use the standard radio commands and view tracks on the center display.

I considered some of those kits, replacing fm waves, cutting the antenna wire, etc... but they all sounded a bit daft. It's the same situation of those guys who have a nav screen but then buy a TomTom and use it glued on the window with all those hanging wires and also connected to the power outlet. Looks like the guys in Peugeot's 106's, etc...

I believe i saw somewhere, on the other forum perhaps, a link to the makers of this device. They sold it for half the price. Don't remember the name of it though...
