This thread is very impressive.

One of my issues is that the drivers side "side Light" does not turn off.
It comes on with the light switch set to any position.
My lights are the dynamic kind that turn on and off as you go around corners.

Just wondering if this tool would be able to fix this or turn them into DRL?

^ I don't think that's possible. On a car of your age, the only option for DRL is the level of main beam as a %age of maximum. Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

ah that sucks, the previous owner had left the bulb disconnected.
I reconnected it and was gutted to learn why they had done that.

I think i want to fix it but il go start a thread when i go down that route.

Thanks.

EGR valve position bank 2 seems to always be at 0, despite the commanded values telling it otherwise

Boost pressure actuator 2 always seems to be at 0

Manifold absolute pressure bank 2 always reports as N/A

& finally exhaust manifold pressure sensor always reports 0

Worth investigating further?

2011 4.4 TDV8, no fault codes bar the usual door locks and AMP!

Bit of a long post! Bought a FFRR 2012 and when I got it home there was 2 slow wiper settings and 1 fast when operating the wipers, the windows went up and down using lazy mode with the key and all the door locks opened remotely. Since plugging in RSW, some strange things have started to happen. The wipers worked as they should for about 6 weeks and have now gone to delay, delay and slow as the three positions of the switch. The door locks - drivers door opens with one press of the remote and all doors open7 with two presses. Pressing and holding the remote can be used to open all windows and sunroof, but the same operation won't close any of these items. The engine can be started up without foot brake application - it used to require the foot brake to be pressed before starting.

I have RSW and all these things have occurred since resetting the system. Another thing is that I ticked the box for move off locking, which worked for a few days and then stopped, perhaps after I had reconnected the program. I have been in contact with RSW who asked me to download stored files and send them, but so far, he has not responded. If I was to purchased IID would this allow me to identify any of these problems?

Can anyone help please?

My IID tool arrived yesterday.

Today I finally got to play - sorry, use it - for the first time.

Height adjustment nice and easy thanks to some words of wisdom from Stan Smile

Wanted the alarm to chirp only on the second press of lock.

So set both Arm/Disarm Chirp and Second Press Chirp to enabled.

But it only chirps on the first lock.

Should I just set Second Press Chirp to enabled? Or won't it do it anyway?

And I've just switched to 275/40/22 tyres. Should I make changes in IPC-Instrument Pack

If so, which settings and to what please?

Also when I upload the edited CCF, the whole cycle (ignition on and off, etc) goes ok. Then I get an error saying the IID couldn't complete the upload.

What's strange is the changes are made to the CCF.

Any help gratefully received. What do I put here then?

I can’t answer your other questions, but I do know that the CCF upload not completed error is a quirk that Pat from GAP is aware of. It definitely uploads the changes fine. I guess they’ll fix on the next update Chris

Here's another IID tool oddity. Applies to L322's from 2010-2012 I think, and relates to the power fold mirrors. There seems to be three settings, as follows:
1) "fitted with logic" - automatically folds/unfolds door mirrors on locking/unlocking using the remote key, every time.
2) "fitted" - folds unfolds every second time you lock it using the remote key.
3) "not fitted" - never folds or unfolds even if you press the button on the door!

I've changed my CCF to #3 because I have an irrational hatred of power folding mirrors, but it would be nice if the button on the door worked as an override. GAP guys seem to think it's wonky JLR coding.

i've found a benefit of the folding mirrors is that it is a visual confirmation that the doors are locked.. ... - .- -.

An even bigger benefit is that it fits in my garage with them folded but not when out in the driving position.😎😎
