I spent a fews hours yesterday removing the FBH.

Very straight forward.

Put in off road height, leave drivers door ajar.
Remove the inner arch covers screws and move away to the side.
Remove the hoses and mounting bolts and ease out.
I installed a short piece off 22mm copper between the hoses to complete the water circuit.

Job done.
The hardest part was trying to put the inner wing cover back!

I stripped the heater down and gave it a good clean.

The pcb was removed and will be on its way to french Mike in the morning.

And the fuel Line? or are you not using the car until the pcb comes back ? .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

Yep capped of the fuel line.

Not sure if it was needed though as the pump is not operating without the fbh.

Robert, I do get my Rangies and LR serviced at SERVICE 4X4 in Pau, France. It is one of the most reliable LR specialist in France.

They only deal with Defender, Range Rovers classics, Sports and L322

What's wrong with the pcb then?

My fbh is kaput.

It starts up but no heat.

99% of the time fbh failure is due to some resistors on the pcb breaking down.

Land rover will sell you a complete new FBH for £800, or remove it, strip it down and send it to Mike who will repair it for £44.

Got to be honest, I've only just got mine activated. When it does run, the windows will defrost but I wouldn't say it's warm in the cabin when I get in. The inside of the windscreen has lots of condensation which defeats the object of defrosting the window.
Is it supposed to get really warm in the cabin?

Trouble is, you could spend 250 on a used one and it fail with the same problem.

Best to get the pcb tested and repaired then your good to go.
