spliced the 2 together and plugged straight into the existing socket..

no resisters or errors ..

where did you get them again? Do they light the whole housing or is it a hot spot in the lamp?

Ah ok. Do these need to be "canbus" to not cause errors? Its a BA9s base correct?

I'm looking at these (but they are Ba15s) bc Cree are the best LED's to use for OEM color lighting.

Stan, mate, it may be well lit were you are, but it has been known for power cuts to strike, mainly during the 70's, granted. But not totally unheard of in this present time, plus there is bulb failure (of the street lamp variety), and the good old council saving money! So you could find yourself in the dark, so to speak. Only now you can go backwards in the dark and make out obstacles, that could have in the past could have caused Censored or Big Cry
And also I can't believe that you only drive during the hours of 10 am to 4 pm, so good rear visibility from the driving seat in the dark is an absolute must!
I've been helping a pal at his farm recently, and maneuvering backwards in the dark was an absolute nightmare, but now it is a pleasure Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

I serviced the Rangie yesterday and I have had the Hungarian reversing light bulbs in for some time now and yes they are starting to distort the lens quite badly. Whoops If everything is under control you are not going fast enough.

......and just to keep you all updated, and not a massive surprise, my 21w bulbs are distorting the plastic lenses. Noticed yesterday when polishing.

Might leave them for a bit or I'll get new units and revert to standard I think. The top clips are broken on my units so they don't hold to the tailgate all that well. The Philips screws also go round and round so I recon you have to take the carpet bit off the back of the tailgate and attack from behind.

Just not keen on seeing a yellow panel behind the lenses.

The cree ones in a bulb could be good though, as above post pic by horse86......
