France 2013 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Causeway Grey
Part exchanged L322 for L405

I've been a little busy lately but some of you will know I was in the process of part-exchanging my 5.0L SC AB for another 5.0L SC AB, going from L322 to L405.
I got the car last week, it is a dream to drive and a huge improvement on the previous model.
I wasn't very enthusiastic when the new model came out and every time I see a nice L322, I still say to myself "what a nice car", I love the classic look and the square shape of the L322 but boy once you drive the L405 you will never go back (I made the mistake of test driving one and it now is on my drive).
Better road holding, feels much lighter (although apparently it isn't so much lighter than what JLR is claiming), 8 speed gearbox is way better and you're always in the right gear, same engine feels so much more powerful (almost too powerful), I can't see myself wanting for more power and is much better adapted to the new aluminium chassis.
I love it... but still think the old one looks better!
Here you 'll find a few pictures of the car taken when the car was used as VIP courtesy car during the Riva classic boat trophy in St Tropez which my dealer was sponsoring (yes my dealer has taste!).

Very nice, is that Corris or Causeway, and did you install the dark atlas on the sides? If so can you post more pics?

Colour is Causeway Grey with Ivory interior. I didn't change anything to the car. Came fully loaded. Side strakes are dark atlas, unsightly side gills are painted body colour (factory spec).

Nice Model.

The big weight gain JLR quote is between the TDV8 (2810kg) and the SDV6 (2227kg) - so 580kg, and they can make this comparison as the performance is similar.

With the same engine it's a different story. I see yours listed at 2397kg and the L322 SC at 2776kg, so 380kg lighter, which is still some saving!

One French magazine who weighed their test car, a L405 5.0L SC AB, came out at 2,545 kgs.
It is unquestionably lighter but not as much as they are claiming.
