and this fun to watch,

Much thanks, Stan. Thumbs Up

So, it looks a little more involved than just putting on a set of winter tyres.

Well, skiing season has now finished for me. You can still ski, but the snow condition has deteriorated enough for it not to be worthwhile.

I've had a most fabulous season, the best for several years.

Some new ski's have raised my interested and allowed me to do some more interesting skiing - off piste.

It's been fun skiing with the girlfriend, although it will be better when she gets up to speed.

Noticed far fewer snowboarders. I'm not sure if this is because ski's are so much better these days or it's a process of natural selection. Smile

Highs: -

The long black piste at Laax.

The weekend in Grindelwald when the weather cleared and it was fabulous being in the moutains.

Lows: -

The long drag lift to the long black piste at Laax.

Big high speed crash at Laax - as is typical, on an easy blue when legs were very tired at the end of the day.

Plans for next year: -

Improve my leg strength for the skiing season.

Start the season earlier - for some reason I was busy Dec/Jan.

I believe some resorts still have good snow?

I am going here in a few days en route to Murcia area and some warm sunshine....

Trouble is, by this time of the season the snow has been rained on and has been through endless freeze/thaw cycles. It also becomes very heavy as the afternoon goes on. They also have to close quite a few of the lower slopes. You can still ski, and doubtless there are some pistes that are still fabulous, but it all seems a bit of a let down compared to what you had a couple of weeks before.

However there is fresh snow and more forecast for Andorra so fingers crossed!
