Sorry to hear that mate, always annoying if this sort of stuff happens but even worse that early in the morning.

Looking at the situation, before you change the pump (it shouldn't fail this quickly after being replaced). I assume the external electric pump has already been replaced (recently) as well ?? So both pumps are relatively new ??

There are potential other issues, connectors/wiring on sensors/injectors etc. I remember reading something on wiring being damaged on TD6 models causing similar fault codes. The fuel pressure sensor could have gone etc.

Unfortunately the fault codes are not necessarily giving the direct cause sometimes. A good indy should be able to find out what is really the problem.

Hope you get it sorted soon and that you can enjoy it again Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Did you fit a genuine LR pump or aftermarket pump?

Have you changed the fuel filter?

found out what the dtc 1255 refers to its the sensor on top of the fuel filter.

tried purging the system and its full of air bubbles bad smell of diesel and looks like diesel on road under rear of engine,so I have a leak

so now thinking the leak is my problem ...........

could it be an injector as there was a fault before this happened "smooth running regulator"

any ideas have hawkeye diagnostics for l322 td6 in the manchester area ,pm for deatalis.

sounds like it is sucking air into the system, if this is the case you will have all sorts of problems. But should be fairly easy to fix. probably a bust pipe somewhere. get under the car and have a look.

in theory the leak should be before the LP pump, as otherwise it would push derv out not suck air in.

fuel lines pic on here to give an idea what you are looking for.....

I'm guessing you live between Stenson and Chellaston then? Wink
I've been over that way all week learning new routes for a contract that kicks off in January.
