update - picked up car this morning, turned out it was only the drive shaft that had gone (nothing else)

Part cost me £50 from fleabay, labour was £150 (they spent most of one day removing the broken shaft from the hub without damaging anything)

Anyone in or around the liverpool, Ormskirk are should be aware of Worldwide LandRover (sandon Rd Birkdale) they are top lads Thumbs Up
