Have never and will never quite get my head round the appeal of the X6 Confused

But, as I always say, the world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things Thumbs Up

Ugly as hell and totally pointless Imo X6 people need to get some common sense but being BMW owners not a prayer Rolling with laughter : _____________________________________________________

Bow down Pete Bow down , aren't you making the assumption that the lorry driver hit the RR deliberately, the fact that he missed it twice, would suggest to me that he was trying to maneuver past with out incident? If I'd intended to hit some Censored 's RR i'd not have needed three goes!
Anyway, we haven't found out what type of RR it was, could have been an Ewok, or a Chav, and not a Full Fat Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

from the Criminal Damage act 1971

A person who without lawful excuse destroys or damages any property belonging to another intending to destroy or damage any such property or being reckless as to whether any such property would be destroyed or damaged shall be guilty of an offence.

If the lorry driver asked the guy to move the FF because he couldn't park without hitting it and then, for whatever reason, he completes the maneuver and does cause damage, that is a reckless act and there is sufficient evidence to arrest him....

You can tell what I used to be.... if I'd been called down to this then the lorry driver would have been arrested for Criminal Damage. He has shown he knew he would cause damage if he completed the maneuver and did it anyway.

The FF driver was a Censored but that doesn't mean you just carry on regardless, the lorry driver is a professional and should know better...

If the FF had been on a road and parked on double yellow lines it still makes no difference, you can't go round damaging peoples property just because they were doing something they shouldn't be.

If, as it shows, the FF driver was committing unnecessary obstruction and the lorry driver had called the Police and the FF driver refused to move when asked, he is then causing Willful Obstruction which has a power of arrest attached, so, the lorry driver should have called the police and let them deal with it....

Of course you are up against the fact that there are so few policeman left these days, due to budget cuts, that you are unlikely to get one anyway.....

Ahem......... Like i said Whistle Whistle Whistle

I do feel for the delivery driver.

A case of him being legally wrong but morally right. Neutral

Shocked Is you saying that the RR drivers at fault for trying to damage the lorry by blocking it's path ? Or is that the RR was trying to form a burning barricade, but failed to combust at the right moment Shocked Or is it Aldi's fault for not having a Traffic Marshal and HSE Banksman ( a trained Traffic Marshal Wink ) I'm getting a wee bit confused now, I think that the blame should be on DVLA for giving the RR muppet a driving licence to start with Smile Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... All sillyness aside, would the lorry driver still be facing Criminal Damage if he'd NOT got out and asked the RR to move. Plus was the RR not parked on double yellow lines, causing an obstruction while illegally parked?
I think that the moral of the story is don't drive around with your head up your Censored , and if someone who's lorry is a lot bigger than your car asks you to move, do it. He's only trying to do his job and not squish your car Thumbs Up Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

if it had been me in the lorry the RR wouldnt have been able to drive away it would have to be taken away in a skip a 25 odd tonne trailer (if loaded) being pushed by 500bhp unit can do some damage

So your saying it's perfectly alright to damage someones property because you don't like their attitude....

If that carries on people will end up getting shot if other people don't like their cartoons........ Pete
