Scotland 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

A couple of months ago I had to send an MOT tester off the read his manual and check with VOSA, he didn't seem to understand that a 1993 car could be maufactured without a catalytic converter and it could legaly have a stick on number plate. If your vehicle is not a modern euro box it seems to confuse them now 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

to be fair though, if he was fairly young it's possible he'd never come across it before.

I don't know why people bother about advisories, they have no bearing on whether a car passes an MOT or not.
Just another example of the never ending "officialdom" that has crept into our lives.
I just ignore them completely. Whistle

Well it depends on what they say. If it says something like "inner CV boot, leaking but still preventing ingress of dirt", it's something that needs fixing fairly soon.

"Slight play in ball joint", gives you a nice heads up about something that might need attention in a few months, saves on a nasty surprise.

Agree 100%. Good to know the front pads need checking out before the sensors kick in. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up SDV8 AB MY 2019

Is it not legal to currently have a stick on plate at the rear? There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

mines stuck on with double sided tape..... Laughing

It depends on the age of the vehicle, after 2001, all cars are supposed to have plates in the current font, be of plastic construction, yellow to the rear, white to the front etc and have a BSAU number on them along with makers details etc etc.
