It's all in one unit with the lock, I picked up a second hand one of "ia dora" (good seller of FF bits) on eBay for £34 delivered, doesn't take long to fit and works great now.... Pete

Well after disconnecting battery (wary of airbag ) and waiting awhile , stripped doorcard off and proceeded to pull old latch out . A bit of messing about ! finally got old latch out and built new one up with cable for door pull and top button, took grommet out to pull key lock on outside. Second hand latch was loosely screwed to door , then i re eentered the key part on the outside of the door into the latch, and tightened the retainer for that bit up. Finally tightened latch and reconnected battery. Lock mechanism worked up and down off fob , but shuddered a bit , thought this might be because the door was open....so shut the door .Locked the door and it wouldnt open again .... Panic , so i disconnected battery again . After a quick cuppa the battery was reconnected and normal service resumed .....Phew !. Fuse 24 apparently will do the same trick, hopefully this will now prove to be reliable ! |
