Was driving along, stopped at a set of lights and lost all drive. Got it recovered to my home by the AA to find that the nearside front driveshaft was part out of the diff. Stripped it down and found that the circlip that retains the shaft in the diff was broken in two pieces. How can that happen? I have had the car about three years without having a problem in that area. 2011 4.4 tdv8 Kahn. 2007 supercharged with 2012 lights and overfinch body kit. P38 with a full J.E.Engineering conversion |

Are they all the same? I have a few used ones here if you need parts? |

Craig, Thanks for the offer. I rang local Land Rover agent (Hunters) to put one on overnight delivery. They called me back five minuets later to say they had one in the bin. £2.13p and hopefully problems are over.Just about to refit the shaft now. From what RRPhil has posted it has been a problem in the past but I can't understand how the circlip can break. 2011 4.4 tdv8 Kahn. 2007 supercharged with 2012 lights and overfinch body kit. The circlip didn't pop. It was in two halves and so it had no tension. The circlip is oval shaped so once broken there was no tension in it. 2011 4.4 tdv8 Kahn. 2007 supercharged with 2012 lights and overfinch body kit. P38 with a full J.E.Engineering conversion |
