P-2462 Ranger Rover Air Compressor Tube Diagram

Hi all,

I recently had some trouble with my 2006 Range Rover suspension. I smelled an electrical burning and noticed my air pump stopped working. The pump was definitely burned up. I removed the pump and ordered a new one.

Two problems exist, however.

1) One of the black air lines is melted and leaks. Is there a way to repair this line? I think I can cut the line and put a new fitting on the line, bypassing the leak. Or piece together the line with new fittings around the leak. Will either of these methods work?

2) I don't remember exactly where the air lines go. The plugs are self-explanatory, but the air lines could get mixed up. I think I know the correct locations, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or even a picture of their pump and lines?

Right now, the Range is sitting with the tires bunched up in the fender wells and un-drivable. Any help is appreciated.

6mm O/D plastic pipe (they use it a lot on trucks) and a 6mm pushfit straight connector and you can replace the melted bit, unless it's the fat black pipe, in which case, measure it and see...

Thanks for the tip. I think I found the tubing.

Any idea on where to find the tubing diagram? Also, do you know if there is anything special I have to do now that the suspension is completely lowered? Like raise it with a jack first?

Haven't seen a diagram with the full layout, basically a pipe from the pump to the sill tank, then a pipe to the valve body in front of the tank, four pipes to the airbags that go through articulation valves in the front and rear arches...

Put up a picture of the pipe you are talking about, we may be able to help....

You won't have to do anything unless it has a "hard" fault, in which case you will have to get the fault codes erased before the suspension will work...

If you start it and it doesn't bong or show any faults and the lights on the switches are working OK then it should pump up... it might not do it straight away as if it has no air in, it will take a while for the compressor to fill the air tank... the comp will turn off if it gets too hot and you will have to wait for it to cool... if the comp stops and the car hasn't gone up try asking it to go to off road... sometimes they have a little sulk and take a bit of coaxing back to life....

Thanks for the tips! I'm thinking a local hardware store may have the pipkng, but I can order on ebay if I can't find it.

I'll take some pics and post them a bit later. Basically, there is one black line and two blue lines coming out of the Rover that go into the pump.
